SKIRT-ing OUT

Hey everyone, here's are a few exerts from my column in Ecstasy Magazine, Issue 8 on pages 30 &31 for your reading delight, pickup the magazine to read more.

This week’s take will be a look at the sizzling world of SKIRTS. Yes, you heard me right, now I know most ladies have one or more skirts in their closets, however not many people know much about them.

Well, skirts have come a long way into our closets; they have been modified over the years into various patterns and styles. Skirts have been worn by both men and women from many cultures starting from 3, 9000 B.C. when it was first discovered in Armenia.

   The oldest handmade skirt was fabricated in straws and woven by hands, the earliest form of skirts are the kilt (still worn in Scotland by men), sarong and lungi and kanga worn in South Asia and South East Asia.

Need I let you know that the oldest form of skirts where worn by the Chinese and they were miniskirts worn to cover the female buttocks only.

The allure of wearing skirt is multidimensional. The skirt can be worn to generally any occasion and you can trust it to help pass the right message, from classy to cheeky, whichever way you’d like to appear or appease, or tease the crowd…… *wink! Wink!!*

I must confess I was never an avid fan of skirts and I usually saw them as a bore.  Not until a few years back when I decided to explore the beauty of skirts and I realized that skirts have the needed allure.
