A beautiful floral tribute from Lady Thatcher's 2 beautiful children, Mark and Carol. Note read: 'Beloved Mother - Always in our hearts' |
The Iron Lady was laid to rest today but she was not to be buried without a reputable fashion presence as a power fashion icon herself. Margaret Thatcher died aged 87 (October 13, 1925 - April 8, 2013) and her legacy will always live on. The funeral which was held at the St Paul's Cathedral had well over 2,300 mourners in attendance and over 150 countries represented.
The British public and international dignitaries came out in the cold dressed mostly in black fashionable outfits and then of course with the hats. The hats were worn in all kinds of shades of colours (mostly in black) and sizes, well befitting for the usual British and international gatherings. See below:

Katherine Jenkins, in a low-cut dress, stiletos, a black overcoat and fascinator hat with lace detail |
Prime Minsiter David Cameron's wife Samantha pays her tribute by wearing a Pussy bow-blouse, a style Thatcher loved because according to her it was "softening and pretty'. Many mourners also wore pearls in Lady Thatcher's honour. Which do you prefer best? ....xoxo
